A Paragraph on Our National Flag for SSC, HSC & Others
Our National Flag
Our national flag is a proud symbol of our independence, freedom, and sacrifice. It reminds us of our glorious history and patriotism. It is rectangular in size and has two main colours—green and red. The green background stands for the beauty of nature and the youth of our nation, while the red circle in the middle symbolizes the blood of our freedom fighters who died for the country. Our flag was officially adopted after we won the Liberation War in 1971, and it reminds us of the great sacrifice made by our heroes. The flag is very important in our national life, and it is hoisted on government buildings, schools, and offices on national days. Moreover, it is used in international events where Bangladesh is represented, and it makes us feel proud when we see it among the flags of other countries. We also sing the national anthem when the flag is raised during important ceremonies. In schools, students stand in respect when the flag is hoisted in the morning. Besides, on days like Victory Day and Independence Day, the flag is seen flying high everywhere. It creates a deep feeling of unity and patriotism in the hearts of all citizens. However, we must always respect our flag and never let it fall to the ground or be used wrongly. In fact, disrespecting the flag means dishonoring the country. So, we should take care of our national flag and always remember what it stands for. Though it is simple in design, it carries deep meaning and love for our motherland. Therefore, our national flag is not just a piece of cloth but a powerful symbol of our freedom, history, and national identity.
