A Tea Stall
A tea stall is a small shop where people come to drink tea and talk. It is usually found near markets, roads, railway stations, and bus stands. As a result, many people visit it every day. Inside the stall, there are a few benches and tables. Some people sit, while others stand. The shop sells tea, biscuits, and snacks. The owner makes tea in a kettle. Then, he pours it into cups and gives it to the customers. He also keeps change ready for payment. People from different places come here. While some talk about life, work, or news, others read newspapers. A few people sit quietly and drink tea. On the other hand, some discuss politics, sports, or family matters. So, it becomes a place to share thoughts and ideas. Usually, a tea stall opens early in the morning and closes late at night. Therefore, it is open almost every day. Workers, drivers, students, and old men come here. Whenever they are free or tired, they stop by. Thus, it gives rest to busy people. In addition, some tea stalls also sell cigarettes and betel leaves. Sometimes, they keep a radio or a small TV. People listen to music or news. Moreover, children sometimes come to buy chips or sweets. Also, some stalls keep cold drinks and bottled water. During winter, people enjoy hot tea more. Though a tea stall is small, it is very useful. It not only brings people together, but also gives them comfort. So, a tea stall is an important part of our daily life and social culture.
